Job summary

Pep Boys in Costa Mesa seeks an energetic associate to engage customers across the service desk and sales floor. You will schedule appointments, upsell parts and services, and support cashier transactions to help customers keep their vehicles running smoothly.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and at least 1 year of automotive service and sales experience. Flexibility for days, nights, weekends, and holidays is needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.
• 1 year of related automotive service experience.
• 1 year of sales experience preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math to calculate commissions and discounts.
• Strong verbal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for customers in-store or by phone, engaging customers and scheduling appointments.
• Assist in organizing service work orders and register transactions, with knowledge of parts and services.
• Support management with customer care, work orders, and store operations.
• Follow all cash, credit, return and refund policies and help address customer issues.
• Conduct routine express automotive services and basic vehicle inspections.
• Maintain safety procedures and a clean, organized shop environment.
• Communicate effectively with associates, management, and customers.
