ESSA Bank & Trust seeks dedicated individuals for a full-time automotive service role in Stroudsburg. You will schedule appointments, greet customers, perform walkarounds, and create concise repair orders with clear cost estimates.

You will review repair histories, explain maintenance needs, obtain signatures, and communicate progress. A high school diploma is required and a driver's license is preferred. In-person work with benefits is provided.

Responsibilities

• Schedules service appointments.
• Greets customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtains vehicle information.
• Performs walk around with customer noting any damage, and advises on any needed maintenance.
• Creates clear, concise, and accurate repair orders regarding customer vehicle problems.
• Ensures service history is reviewed with the customer to safeguard against incorrect information.
• Advises customers on how to properly care for their cars to reinforce the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers' specifications.
• Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts.
• Obtains customer's signature on repair order; provides customer with a copy.
• Establishes customer's preferred method of payment. Obtains credit approval, if necessary.
• Checks on progress of repair throughout the day, and timely informs the customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explains cost and time requirements in detail, and obtains proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.
• Reviews repair orders to ensure that work is completed and additional work and authorization is noted. Closes repair order as appropriate.
• Ensures that vehicles are parked in assigned areas, the vehicle is locked, and the keys are marked and put away correctly.
• Explains completed work and all charges to customers.
• Discusses upcoming Factory Surveys, and schedules the next service appointment.
• Maintains high customer satisfaction standards.
• Handles telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process.
• Manages repair order documentation to ensure full compliance with policies and procedures.
• Maintains 100% utilization of required Multi Point Inspection (Walk Around) process.
• Achieves and maintains individual and team effective labor rate (ELR) above 80% of posted retail rate.
• Maintains a professional appearance and work environment.
• Attends pertinent and mandatory company-wide trainings.
• Other duties as assigned.
