Job summary

Principle Audi - Selma is seeking an Automotive Service Advisor to greet customers, gather vehicle details, and communicate maintenance needs. You will prepare estimates, track progress, and explain work performed, ensuring accuracy and exceptional service in a fast-paced dealership setting.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in a service department, strong knowledge of autos, and a positive, energetic attitude.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in service department is preferred.
• Dealership experience is a plus and valued.
• Solid knowledge of automobiles and vehicle maintenance.
• Strong communication and customer service focus.
• Ability to learn new software and computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and gather vehicle information.
• Clearly report vehicle symptoms as described by customer.
• Recommend maintenance based on age, mileage and history.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for labor and parts.
• Set follow-up times and monitor progress of vehicles.
• Explain completed work and charges to customers.
• Ensure invoices reconcile with repair orders.
• Maintain high level of customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do

• Greet customers promptly
• Obtain customer and vehicle information
• Clearly report all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer
• Determine and recommend maintenance base on age, mileage and history of vehicle
• Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts
• Establish follow up time
• Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, and update customers frequently
• Verify that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order
• Explain all completed work and charges to customers

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience at a dealership is a plus
• Ability to identify the problem quickly
• Knowledge of automobiles
• Proven record of achieving exceptional customer satisfaction
• Past experience as a service advisor, assistant lane manager or service consultant
• Very energetic personality
• A desire for a long-term career with a growing organization
• Personal and professional integrity
• Computer skills and willingness to learn new programs
• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
• Minimum of 1 year in service department
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills
• Positive, friendly attitude
• High school diploma or equivalent
