Job summary

Lithia & Driveway in Houston is hiring a Service Advisor/Writer to bridge customers and technicians. You will present repair needs clearly, prepare repair orders, obtain approvals, and document RO entries in the service database.

This on-site, full-time position in the Northwest Houston area offers a busy shop where incentives and base pay combine. You’ll communicate repair recommendations, keep customers informed of costs and timelines, and administer manufacturer warranties for qualifying

Qualifications

• Previous Service Advisor/Service Writer experience
• Polished and professional demeanor
• Ability to communicate technical terms to a non-technical audience
• Create a truly memorable experience for customers
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

• Serve as the communicator and liaison between the customer and technician; ensuring the customer’s needs are understood by the technician and the needed and recommended service/repairs are understood by the customer.
• Prepare repair orders (RO), obtaining approval signatures and entering RO into service database system.
• Communicate additional repair and service needs to the customer based on vehicle inspection.
• Administer the manufacturer warranty for qualifying vehicle repairs.
• Keep customer informed of service specials, completion times and service expenses.
