Route 128 Honda in Reading, MA is seeking an Automotive Sales Manager to lead our New & Used Vehicle operations. You will develop sales professionals, desk deals, structure transactions, and drive profitability while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

The role requires 3+ years in automotive sales management, proven leadership, and strong analytics to optimize KPIs and inventory. Honda experience is a plus. Route 128 Honda offers growth opportunities and a strong team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of automotive sales management experience.
• Demonstrated success managing both new and used vehicle sales operations.
• Strong desking and closing skills.
• Experience with inventory management and vehicle appraisals.
• Ability to analyze sales reports, KPIs, and profitability metrics.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and coaching abilities.
• Honda experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Sales Consultants.
• Manage daily operations of both the New and Used Vehicle Departments.
• Desk deals and assist in structuring transactions.
• Monitor sales performance, gross profit, and department profitability.
• Partner with the Finance Department to maximize product penetration and customer satisfaction.
• Assist with inventory management, vehicle pricing, and inventory aging strategies.
• Recruit, train, coach, and mentor sales staff.
• Ensure a professional, customer-focused sales process.
• Maintain high CSI and online reputation standards.
• Drive achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives.
