Job summary

LaFontaine Automotive Group is seeking an Automotive Sales Consultant to join our team in Michigan. You will greet customers, understand their needs, demonstrate vehicle features, and present financing options.

The role emphasizes relationship-building and meeting sales targets through excellent service and product knowledge. Candidates should have high school education, a valid driver’s license, and prior sales or customer service experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have sales, hospitality, or customer service experience.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business material.
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
• Good presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers on the sales floor and determine vehicle needs.
• Explain features and demonstrate operation of vehicles in showroom or on road.
• Suggest optional equipment for customers to purchase.
• Research model availability and options.
• Coordinate with Sales Manager to quote sales price, tax, trade-in, license fees, and financing requirements.
• Prepare all related paperwork and applications (sales slip, credit app, etc.).
• Deliver new vehicle to customer and ensure understanding of features and warranties.
• Maintain a prospect development system.
• Stay knowledgeable about new products and accessories.
• Attend sales meetings and training sessions at various locations.
• Adhere to company policies and meet or exceed sales targets.
