Job summary

LaFontaine Nissan Troy is seeking an Automotive Sales Consultant to help customers select and understand vehicle features and capabilities. You will develop buyer qualifications, close sales, and maintain strong relationships to promote repeat business.

You will greet customers, explain features, present financing options, and guide buyers through paperwork while staying current on new products and dealership offerings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable MVR.
• Previous experience in sales, hospitality, or customer service preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business materials and instructions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers on the sales floor and identify their vehicle preferences.
• Explain features and demonstrate vehicle operation in showroom and during test drives.
• Collaborate with the Sales Manager to compute sales prices, including taxes, trade-in allowances, and financing options.
• Prepare sales documents such as contracts and credit applications.
• Deliver vehicles to customers, ensuring they understand operation, warranty, and related paperwork.
• Maintain a system for prospect development and follow-up.
• Stay knowledgeable about new products, features, and accessories.
• Attend sales meetings and training sessions as scheduled.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Meet or exceed sales targets and forecasts.
