Job summary

Johnson Volvo Cars Charlotte is seeking energetic Automotive Sales Consultants to guide customers from initial conversation through delivery and follow-up. You will showcase Volvo and pre-owned options, demonstrate features, and lead test drives while guiding decisions on purchase, lease, or trade-in.

The role emphasizes relationship-building, product knowledge, strong communication, and a proactive approach to follow-up and referrals.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and create a professional, comfortable, and engaging sales experience.
• Ask thoughtful questions to understand each customer's transportation needs, preferences, lifestyle, and budget.
• Help customers explore new Volvo and pre-owned vehicle options.
• Present and demonstrate vehicle features, technology, safety systems, and ownership benefits.
• Conduct professional and informative test drives.
• Assist customers in evaluating purchase, lease, and trade-in options.
• Prepare and present pricing proposals in accordance with dealership guidelines.
• Partner with Sales Management and Finance to help customers move smoothly through the purchase process.
• Respond promptly to internet leads, phone inquiries, and other prospective customers.
• Maintain consistent follow-up with prospective and existing customers by phone, email, text, and other approved channels.
• Accurately maintain customer information and sales activity in the dealership's CRM system.
• Develop repeat and referral business by building relationships that extend beyond the initial sale.
• Maintain strong knowledge of Volvo vehicles, new and pre-owned inventory, manufacturer programs, warranties, and competitive products.
• Complete required Volvo and dealership training and certifications.
• Conduct professional vehicle deliveries and ensure customers understand their vehicle's features, technology, maintenance needs, and ownership resources.
• Introduce customers to our Service team and help establish a relationship that supports them throughout their ownership experience.
• Follow up after delivery to ensure satisfaction and continue building the customer relationship.
