Job summary
Inalfa Roof Systems is seeking a Controls Engineer to design and implement control systems for manufacturing equipment and sunroof products in the IRS/USA segment. The role focuses on PLC programming, HMI development, and robotics integration within a high-automation environment.
You will collaborate with product and manufacturing engineering to optimize line performance and data handling. The position requires hands-on expertise in RSLogix 5000, LabVIEW, AutoCAD, and vision/system integration,
Qualifications
- Experience with automation projects in manufacturing (automotive preferred).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in control systems.
- Knowledge of machine control systems, PLCs, pneumatics, and programming.
- Familiarity with OSHA electrical/electronic requirements and automotive EMC.
- Good communication skills in writing and speaking.
Responsibilities
- Specify HMIs and software features for manufacturing equipment.
- Design electrical/control wiring schematics on CAD systems.
- Develop control logic and ladder/relay logic.
- Program PLCs (RSLogix 5000) and configure HMI outputs (Factory Talk View).
- Detail layouts and subassembly panels; manage BOM and components.
- Handle data-collection, testing, startup, and debugging of systems.
- Upgrade assembly lines and machinery to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Support troubleshooting with maintenance teams outside normal hours.
