Job summary

The Assistant Store Manager leverages automotive knowledge, customer service, and leadership to effectively operate our NAPA retail store and position NAPA as the market leader. This role supports the Store Manager across all functions while maintaining active customer-facing sales responsibilities and overseeing critical store operations.

The role includes coaching team members, managing counter sales, inventory/receiving, delivery coordination, housekeeping, and ensuring standards and coverage

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in fast-paced environments.
• Strong customer-service orientation and relationship-building.

• Operational excellence with focus on store metrics.
• Willingness to learn automotive parts domain.

Responsibilities

• Partner daily with Store Manager on operations, sales execution, inventory health, and team performance.
• Actively sell and build customer relationships across retail and wholesale channels.
• Model expected behaviors, processes, and customer standards.
• Execute or oversee opening and closing routines, cash handling, and end-of-day reporting.
• Handle or support administrative tasks: scheduling input, compliance docs, and performance tracking.
• Monitor store metrics (sales, inventory, customer satisfaction, labor) and drive improvements.
