Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Quality Engineer for our Tupelo, MS automotive plastics and metal fabrication facility. You will be the primary quality liaison to customers, lead PPAP submissions, apply APQP, and drive continuous improvement through SPC data analysis and robust documentation.

You will collaborate with supplier quality and production teams, maintain ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 compliance, and deliver clear quality reports to internal stakeholders and customers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in engineering or related field preferred.
• Automotive quality experience required.
• Experience with PPAP, APQP and SPC.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
• Strong data analysis and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary quality liaison to customers for designated accounts.
• Ensure parts meet specifications and are defect-free via QC and validation.
• Lead and manage PPAP documentation for new parts.
• Apply APQP for launches of new or changed products.
• Implement SPC methods to monitor processes and drive improvements.
• Conduct root cause analyses and drive effective corrective actions.
• Maintain quality documentation including control plans and inspection records.
• Develop data-driven quality reports and present to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with supplier quality and production to improve incoming material quality.
• Support ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 compliance.
• Participate in continuous improvement to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
