Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our Shannon, MS facility, focusing on automotive interior components manufacturing. You will serve as the primary quality liaison to customers, manage PPAP documentation, and apply APQP for new product launches and changes, ensuring robust quality records and process controls.

Key responsibilities include leading SPC-driven process monitoring, root cause analyses, and implementing corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Quality engineering experience in automotive manufacturing.
• Strong SPC and APQP methodology application.
• Experience leading PPAP documentation.
• Proficiency with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.

Responsibilities

• Represent the facility as the primary quality contact with designated automotive customers.
• Ensure all delivered parts meet customer specs and are defect-free through QC and validation.
• Lead PPAP documentation to qualify new parts for customers, ensuring complete and timely records.
• Apply APQP methodologies to support new product launches and changes.
• Implement and maintain SPC methods to monitor processes and drive improvements.
• Conduct root cause and failure analyses for nonconformances and customer complaints; develop corrective actions.
• Drive containment and long-term corrective actions; verify effectiveness.
• Maintain quality documentation: control plans, inspection records, reports, and customer docs.
• Develop data-driven reports and presentations on quality performance and actions.
• Collaborate with supplier quality and production to resolve supplier-related quality concerns.
