Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field, or combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of Quality Engineering experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of AIAG Core Tools including APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and SPC.
• Working knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific automotive requirements.
• Experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone).
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across production, engineering, suppliers, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Supervises plant quality functions; coordinates APQP functions and participates in APQP meetings.
• Creates/assists in implementing and maintaining control plans, work/inspection instructions, and local procedures.
• Prepares PPAP Packages and oversees retention of PPAP samples.
• Assists in maintaining IATF-16949 certification and meeting customer quality requirements.
• Acts as Quality Department liaison with suppliers to investigate quality problems and support corrective actions.
• Assists in problem solving activities and implements corrective actions (8D) with customers and suppliers.
• Develops and implements corrective/preventive actions and verifies effectiveness.
