Job summary

Freudenberg in Morganfield, KY seeks a Quality Engineer to supervise plant quality functions and coordinate APQP. You will implement control plans and prepare PPAP submissions, while maintaining IATF 16949 alignment and solving issues with suppliers and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field, or combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of Quality Engineering experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of AIAG Core Tools including APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and SPC.
• Working knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific automotive requirements.
• Experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone).
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across production, engineering, suppliers, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Prepares PPAP Packages and oversees retention of PPAP samples.

• Assists in problem solving activities and implements corrective actions (8D) with customers and suppliers.
• Develops and implements corrective/preventive actions and verifies effectiveness.
