Job summary

Derby-Fabricating-Solution in Kentucky seeks a Quality Management professional to sustain the plant's QMS and guide quality support staff. You will drive APQP/PPAP programs, coordinate with the plant manager, and report to Corporate Quality.

Calibrations, audits, and continuous improvement are integral to the role. The ideal candidate will have automotive manufacturing experience, strong knowledge of AIAG tools, and excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing environment, preferably within automotive industry.
• Working knowledge of AIAG core tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Interpret and understand blueprints and use measuring instruments accurately.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day interaction with the plant manager on Quality-related activities.
• Advanced APQP and PPAP activities with cross-functional teams.
• Provide reports of Quality information to the Corporate Quality Manager.
• Ensure quality work area is clean, organized, and documents are maintained.
• Lead calibration processes and participate in continual improvement initiatives.
• Perform product audits and measure for process capability studies.
