Job summary

NAPA in Elkhart, IN is seeking a friendly Store Associate to serve as the primary contact for customers, provide automotive parts solutions, and support both retail and wholesale needs. You will rely on product knowledge, speed, and accuracy to drive satisfaction and sales.

You will operate POS systems, assist with inventory, coordinate deliveries, and help maintain a welcoming store environment while following store processes and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-focused mindset with strong listening and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to learn automotive parts and technology systems.
• ASE Certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate automotive parts solutions to retail and wholesale customers.
• Deliver a consistently positive and engaging customer experience.
• Operate POS, inventory/catalog tools, and communication devices.
• Maintain high energy and customer focus in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Support store operations including transactions, inquiries, and general workflow.
• Build relationships with customers to drive loyalty and repeat business.
• Utilize delivery management systems to coordinate and dispatch deliveries, pull and prepare orders for customers and drivers, and support efficient logistics and fulfillment operations.
• Perform general housekeeping, cleaning, and organizational tasks to maintain a safe, professional, and welcoming store environment.
• Assist with inventory control activities, including receiving merchandise, stocking shelves, conducting cycle counts, and helping maintain accurate inventory records.
• Contribute to various store operations and team support tasks as needed to optimize store performance, merchandising, and overall efficiency.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to store processes and operational standards.
