Promotive in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Automotive Parts Advisor for an established independent auto repair shop. You will learn customer sales and service advising, with opportunity to grow into a Service Writer or Service Advisor role.

You'll work with the shop owner and gain hands-on training in parts receiving, inventory, and communicating with customers. The position offers long-term growth toward shop leadership.

Qualifications

• Automotive parts knowledge is required and should cover vehicle components and common parts.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to accurately identify parts, manage orders, and stay organized.
• Familiarity with shop management software for parts receiving, returns, and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Identify, source, and order automotive parts for repairs and maintenance.
• Receive incoming parts, verify orders, and maintain records in the shop system.
• Process parts returns and manage inventory using shop software.
• Coordinate with technicians to ensure parts are available for repairs.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service and assist with questions.
• Create and update service tickets and repair orders as needed.
• Explain repair recommendations and support service sales to customers.
• Use NAPA TRACS and other shop systems to support parts operations.
