Job summary

Magna Cosma International seeks a Packaging Engineer to design cost-effective packaging within environmental guidelines and to lead packaging quotes for multiple suppliers. The role includes improving PFEP and coordinating with Purchasing, Materials, and Production to assess costs and feasibility.

Qualifications

Post-secondary education or 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment handling packaging designs.
Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
Strong attention to detail; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

Designs cost effective, expendable and/or returnable packaging within environmental guidelines.
Lead packaging quote activities and maintain PFEP data.
Improve process flow with VSM and implement changes to enhance efficiency.
Identify suppliers for returnable packaging based on cost and feasibility.
Develop sketches, specs, samples, and analyses for protective packaging.
Ensure packaging complies with guidelines, part quality, and material handling.
