Job summary

LM Manufacturing seeks an Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer to manage PFEP, material classification, and container design. You will analyze engineering drawings and specify materials for protective packaging and optimize material flow in a manufacturing setting.

The role emphasizes kaizen/Lean methods, project management, and collaboration with maintenance and production teams. Proficiency in DraftSight, Word, Excel, Project, and AutoCAD is required, with a Bachelor’s in Industrial/Manufacturing

Qualifications

5 years of automotive manufacturing engineering experience.
Experience in high-volume assembly, material flow, logistics and packaging.
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Team-oriented with time management and project skills.
Proficient with DraftSight, Word, Project and Excel.
Knowledge of JIT, QMS, Process Flow, World Class Manufacturing, PFMEA and CI.

Responsibilities

Complete and update PFEP and Materials Classification docs.
Plan and direct design and development of protective packaging containers.
Assist with improving or automating processes to optimize manpower, cycle time, material flow, and ergonomics.
Maintain awareness of latest packaging sources, techniques and industry trends.
Prepare Capital Expenditure Requests for new packaging, equipment, shipping pallets, or containers.
