Job summary

Gales Auto Group is seeking a proactive DEALERSHIP OPERATIONS COORDINATOR to keep our pre-owned inventory moving smoothly. You’ll receive and organize incoming inventory, coordinate repairs and reconditioning, track progress, and help ensure vehicles are ready for sale and delivery while maintaining an organized lot.

We value a strong work ethic, ownership mentality, and the ability to work across teams. No formal dealership experience required, but a willingness to learn and drive is essential.

Responsibilities

• Receive and organize incoming inventory
• Inspect incoming vehicles and identify obvious needs, damage or concerns
• Help coordinate vehicles going through mechanical repairs, body work, detailing and reconditioning
• Track where vehicles are in the reconditioning process and help make sure they continue moving
• Make sure vehicles don't sit unnecessarily waiting for the next step
• Move and organize inventory on the lot
• Transport vehicles to and from auctions, repair facilities, body shops and other vendors
• Pick up vehicles, parts, paperwork and dealership supplies when needed
• Take quality photos and videos of inventory for online listings
• Help prepare and maintain online vehicle listings
• From time to time, capture day-to-day dealership content for social media, including new arrivals, sold vehicles, behind-the-scenes activity and other things happening around the dealership
• Post or assist with Facebook and Instagram stories when needed
• Be comfortable occasionally appearing in photos or short videos and helping showcase vehicles
• Look for simple opportunities to capture content that keeps Gales Auto Group active and visible online
• Install buyer guides, window stickers, tags and other vehicle information
• Keep vehicle keys and inventory organized
• Make sure vehicles are clean, fueled and ready for customer delivery
• Assist customers when needed
• Help with test drives and basic sales support
• Assist our detailer when necessary
• Help maintain a clean, organized and professional dealership, lot and work environment
• Handle miscellaneous dealership projects and errands
• See something that needs to be done and TAKE OWNERSHIP OF IT
