Job summary

Knudtsen Auto Group in Post Falls, ID seeks an experienced Automotive Office Manager to lead the dealership accounting office, partnering with the Controller to ensure accurate financial reporting, timely deal processing, payroll administration, and compliance with manufacturer requirements.

You will supervise and develop the office team, oversee payroll, receivables, and financial statements, and provide timely insights to leadership for business decisions in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of automotive dealership accounting experience.
• Experience with month-end close and dealership financial statements.
• Knowledge of deal processing, F&I products, floor plans, factory incentives, and warranty accounting.
• Payroll processing experience, including commissions and bonuses.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills for reconciliations and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the dealership accounting office and support the Controller with financial oversight.
• Manage month-end close activities, reconciliations, reporting, and manufacturer deadlines.
• Oversee deal posting, inventory accounting, cash management, floor plan activity, and banking relationships.
• Ensure accurate processing of payroll, commissions, bonuses, chargebacks, and incentive programs.
• Maintain manufacturer receivables, warranty accounts, rebates, holdbacks, and other factory-related transactions.
• Review accounting entries, investigate discrepancies, and uphold internal controls.
