Knudtsen Auto Group in Post Falls, ID is seeking an experienced Automotive Office Manager to lead the dealership accounting office. You will partner with the Controller and managers to ensure accurate financial reporting, smooth deal processing, and payroll administration in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role emphasizes leadership of office teams, internal controls, and timely insights to support business decisions across departments, with a focus on compliance and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of automotive dealership accounting experience.
• Proven experience with month-end close and dealership financial statements.
• Strong knowledge of deal processing, F&I products, floor plans, and warranty accounting.
• Payroll processing experience including commissions and bonus calculations.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including reconciliations and pivot tables.

Responsibilities

• Lead the dealership accounting office daily operations.
• Manage month-end close activities, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Oversee deal posting, inventory accounting, cash management, and banking relations.
• Ensure accurate payroll processing and incentive calculations.
• Maintain manufacturer receivables, warranty accounts, rebates, and holdbacks.
• Review entries, investigate discrepancies, and uphold internal controls.
• Supervise and develop office team members and cross-department collaboration.
• Support titling, contracts, and dealership administrative processes.
• Ensure payroll, tax, and recordkeeping compliance.
• Provide timely financial insights and reporting to leadership.
