Job summary

Cox is seeking a skilled automotive technician in Grove City, Ohio, to perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on a range of vehicles. The role involves upholding safety standards, maintaining detailed vehicle histories, and potentially upfitting new vehicles with required equipment.

Level II duties expand to advanced diagnostics, major repairs, and coordination with vendors for parts, plus roadside assistance as needed. Strong driving record and HS diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 3+ years of related work experience.
• 3+ years of vehicle service and repair experience.
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.
• Ability to operate standard and automatic transmissions.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance: oil change, oil/filter, fuel filter, transmission flush, and inspection of vehicle.
• Performs various repairs and maintenance including OBD II systems, brakes, tires, tune-ups, suspension, electrical systems, and more.
• Keeps shop area clean and safe; disposes of fluids per regulations.
• Creates and maintains vehicle history and maintenance records; may upfit new vehicles with equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
• Level II: performs light to major repairs; advanced vehicle diagnostics; interfaces with vendors for parts; provides roadside assistance; uses specialized equipment for fabrication; diagnoses and repairs across brakes, drivability, emissions, steering, HVAC, engine.
