Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking an Auto Maintenance Technician II to perform preventive maintenance and a variety of repairs at a Cox location in the USA. The role requires hands-on vehicle service experience and a valid driver’s license.

New hires receive a $1,500 tool bonus and a $1,000 signing bonus, with additional compensation possible through incentives. The position emphasizes safety, record-keeping, and timely diagnostics, with opportunities to up-fit vehicles and coordinate with parts/vendors

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or 3+ years of related work experience servicing vehicles instead of the degree).
• 3+ years of vehicle service and repair experience.
• Ability to drive standard and automatic transmission vehicles.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Performs Preventive Maintenance: oil changes, filters, fluids, inspections.
• Performs repairs and maintenance per certification levels (OBD II, brakes, tires, tune-ups, suspension, electrical, etc.).
• Keeps shop area clean and tidy and follows safety standards.
• Creates and maintains vehicle history and maintenance records.
• May up fit new vehicles with necessary equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
