Job summary

Serra Traverse City is seeking a qualified Automotive Mechanic to join our world-class team. You will perform repairs, diagnose malfunctions, and communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts, ensuring work meets dealership and factory standards.

Responsibilities include documenting all work on repair orders, road testing vehicles when required, and participating in training programs. A valid driver's license and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before customers or employees.
• Experience using general office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnoses the cause of any malfunction and performs repair.
• Communicates with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Road tests vehicles when required.
• Supervises work of any apprentice technicians as assigned.
