Job summary

Autoserviceplus in Minnesota is seeking an Automotive Mechanic to inspect, diagnose and repair tire and automotive services, while delivering an excellent customer experience.

You will explain technical diagnoses to customers and co-workers, stay updated with new automotive technology, train others, and maintain a clean, safe work area. A valid driver's license and flexibility to work various shifts are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• 6 months of automotive mechanical problem-solving and repair experience.
• Section 609 Certification preferred.
• State Inspection license if applicable, where required.
• Valid driver's license and pre-employment background check clearance.
• Willingness to work days, nights, holidays and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications across brakes, exhaust, electrical, cooling, suspension and alignment.
• Perform duties of General Service Technician as needed.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical colleagues and customers.
• Continuously learn new automotive technology through formal training.
• Mentor teammates and assist technicians in technical activities.
• Maintain an organized, clean shop and adhere to safety and environmental rules.
