Job summary

Auto Plus in Phoenix, AZ seeks an Automotive Mechanic to inspect, diagnose and repair tire and automotive services while delivering an excellent customer experience. You will explain technical diagnoses to customers and coworkers and stay updated with rapidly changing automotive technology.

The role includes mentoring teammates and maintaining a clean, safe shop. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 6 months of hands-on automotive experience, and a valid driver's license, with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months automotive mechanical problem-solving and repair experience.
• Section 609 Certification preferred; State Inspection license a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications: brake and hydraulic, exhaust, basic electrical, cooling system, suspension and alignment.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals (employees/customers) as needed.
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques through formal training sessions.
• Assist fellow technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
• Maintain organized and neat shop; adhere to company policies, safety and environmental rules.
