Job summary

Auto Plus is seeking an Automotive Mechanic in California to inspect, diagnose and repair tire and automotive services while delivering excellent customer service. You will explain diagnoses to customers and coworkers, stay updated with advancing automotive tech, and mentor junior staff.

Candidates should have a valid driver's license and a pre-employment background check will be conducted. The role requires a High School Diploma/GED and at least 6 months of hands-on experience; ASE

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months of automotive mechanical problem-solving and repair experience.
• Section 609 Certification preferred.
• State Inspection license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications — brake and hydraulic, exhaust, basic electrical, cooling system, suspension and alignment, perform all maintenance services.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals including customers.
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions.
• Assist fellow technicians in performing technical activities.
• Maintain an organized and neat shop and adhere to safety rules.
