Group 1 Automotive is seeking Automotive Service Technicians to join our award-winning dealerships in San Antonio, Texas. Whether you are starting your career or are ASE-certified, we offer advanced training, modern equipment, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced shop environment.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• ASE or manufacturer certifications and advanced diagnostic skills are preferred but not required for entry level; personal tool set recommended.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, drivability, brake, steering, suspension, HVAC, engine, and transmission concerns.
• Complete repairs according to manufacturer and dealership standards.
• Use scan tools and computerized diagnostic equipment.
• Test-drive vehicles to confirm proper operation.
• Document repairs and communicate findings clearly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all dealership, manufacturer, OSHA, and EPA guidelines.
• Participate in ongoing technical training.
