Job summary

Yanfeng in Novi, MI seeks a Project Manager, Pilot Programs to lead planning, execution, and validation of new manufacturing pilot programs, coordinating operations, engineering, quality, maintenance, and supply chain to ensure smooth readiness before full-scale production.

You will develop project plans, track milestones, manage risks, and drive cross-functional collaboration to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets while minimizing disruption to operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
• 5–9 years automotive industry experience.
• Experience leading product launches, pilot programs or manufacturing transfers.
• Knowledge of Lean, APQP, PFMEA and continuous improvement.
• Proficient in project management tools and reporting.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites.
• PMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of pilot programs from planning to launch.
• Develop schedules, budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across operations, engineering, quality, maintenance, supply chain, and production.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation plans.
• Monitor metrics for process capability, productivity, quality, and safety.
• Maintain project documentation and reports.
• Coordinate transition of pilots to full-scale production.
