Job summary

Camaco in Lorain, Ohio is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and implement cost-effective manufacturing processes that meet product specs and quality standards. You will lead engineering changes and coordinate launches for new or revised products on the plant floor.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Manufacturing Engineering and at least 3 years in automotive manufacturing, with strong skills in Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, ERP, CAD, and PLC troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field
• 3+ years automotive manufacturing experience

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods
• Recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls
• Responsible for Engineering Changes and manufacturing launch for new/revised products
• Conducts time and method studies and sets time standards
• Provides Lean/Kaizen support across operations
• Develops plant layouts, work instructions, process flow, setup procedures
• Handles automation with robotic materials and parts
• Develops and manages process FMEAs and related docs
• Troubleshoots processes and equipment
• Monitors production measurables and productivity incentives
• Supports 8D/problem resolution and IATF16949 documentation requirements
