Job summary

Camaco in Lorain, Ohio, seeks an Engineering Manager to lead day-to-day plant engineering and maintenance, drive standardized methods, and optimize labor, tooling, and processes for multiple products. You will oversee project activities, coordinate engineers, and ensure timely execution across production lines.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, 8+ years in engineering, and extensive automotive manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related field; 8+ years in engineering.
• Experience in automotive manufacturing.
• Proficiency with GD&T, QFD, DFM/DFA, VE, FEA, CAD/CAE, SPC.

Responsibilities

• Controls all project/engineering activities for new business and engineering changes for existing products.
• Establishes labor and method standards for all processes in the plant.
• Coordinates activities of engineers to ensure adherence to timelines.
• Manages and directs the work of maintenance personnel.
• Interfaces with customers to communicate problems and solutions while maintaining a high standard of quality.
• Manages special projects as requested by the General Manager.
• Assess, train and develop subordinates.
