Job summary

Castle Subaru in Naperville, IL is seeking an Automotive Lube Technician (Non-Union) to perform repair work and assist with diagnostics in a busy service department.

You will test-drive vehicles, communicate with the Service Advisor, and complete tasks with strong mechanical skills and a customer-friendly approach.

Qualifications

• Must have strong mechanical aptitude.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Excellent customer service and basic computer skills.

• Valid driver's license and insurability per policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair work per repair order with dealership guidelines.
• Test-drive vehicles and diagnose components using diagnostic tools.
• Communicate with Service Advisor about additional needed work.
• Provide time estimates for additional repairs.
• Complete repairs under manufacturer specifications.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and follow dealership guidelines
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed.
• Provide an estimate of the time needed for additional repairs
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, and excellent hand-eye coordination
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve

Non-union Technician Compensation $20-25 per hour
