Castle Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Naperville is seeking an Automotive Technician (Non-Union) to join our busy, high‑volume shop. You’ll diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and brakes, test components, and communicate with the Service Advisor to keep customers informed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 consecutive years as automotive technician.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and operate diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent customer service and communication.
• Basic computer skills for service paperwork and checklists.
• Positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn new technology.
• Valid driver's license and insurability.
• Team-oriented and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership guidelines.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and A/C.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor about additional required services.
• Provide time estimates for repairs and complete warranty work per manufacturer specs.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and follow dealership guidelines
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed.
• Provide an estimate of the time needed for additional repairs
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

What You’ll Bring to the Team

• 2+ consecutive years of technician experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• B-level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, and excellent hand-eye coordination
• Troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
• Ability to learn new technology, repair, and service procedures, and specifications
• Valid driver's license and meetinsurability guidelines

Non-union Technician Compensation $100k-200k per year based on experience.
