A Hiring Company in Columbus, OH is seeking a motivated Lube Technician to join our service team and perform routine vehicle maintenance with accuracy and efficiency.

You will handle oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotations, and basic services while collaborating with seasoned technicians to learn the brands we service and ensure customers are well informed of needed services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not required.
• Basic knowledge of automotive systems and maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Document and perform repair orders following dealership standards.
• Drain oil, replace filters, and refill with required oil.
• Inspect and replenish vehicle fluid levels.
• Check tire pressure and adjust as needed.
• Coordinate with parts department for parts.
• Keep the shop neat and safe.
• Manage dealership tools and manuals.
• Operate tools safely.
• Perform work efficiently per repair orders.
• Work with seasoned technicians to learn brand service standards.
• Communicate with Service Advisor about additional services.
• Provide estimated time for additional repairs.

Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable Lube Technician to join our team. As a Lube Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance on vehicles, such as oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotations, and other basic services.

Responsibilities

• Document and perform work as outlined on repair order following all dealership and factory standards
• Drain oil from crankcase and refill with required amount of oil; replace oil and air filters
• Inspect vehicle fluid levels and replace or replenish as necessary
• Check tire pressure and add air if needed
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts
• Keep shop area neat and clean
• Maintain accountability for all dealership-owned tools and manuals
• Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner
• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
• Work along side seasoned technicians to continue growing your knowledge of the brands we service
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are well-informed of any additional services needed
• Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
