Job summary

Hyundai Capital America is seeking a Loss Mitigation Associate in Atlanta, GA to manage delinquent accounts from 80 days past due through charge-off. You will research accounts, contact customers, skip trace, and negotiate repayment to minimize losses while following policy guidelines.

The role emphasizes compliance with federal and state regulations, accurate documentation, and collaboration with internal partners to resolve complex issues and drive performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in late-stage collections, loss mitigation, delinquency management, or account recovery activities including using skip tracing tools.
• Automotive finance, consumer lending, banking, or financial service industry experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Working knowledge of late-stage collections, customer account servicing, delinquency management, or loss mitigation practices.
• Strong account research, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate account history, payment patterns, customer circumstances, and risk factors to identify next steps within guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Portfolio Management, Account Research & Resolution: manage delinquent accounts 80 days past due to charge-off and apply approved resolution options.
• Inbound / Outbound Collections & Negotiations: conduct collection activities and negotiate payment arrangements within guidelines.
• Documentation, Compliance & Account Administration: document activity accurately in servicing systems and ensure regulatory compliance and data governance.
