Job summary

Cox Automotive in the United States is seeking an Inspector Apprentice to support vehicle inspections for the online marketplace. The role focuses on verifying VINs, mileage, exterior and interior condition, and documenting results for the OVE process.

Basic automotive knowledge and attention to detail are required; you will work at a Cox site with day shifts and may be eligible for additional incentive programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred and basic automotive knowledge.
• 0–1 year experience in body shop, mechanical work, or related fields.
• Must pass Inspector Certification Exam within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Verify VIN, mileage and sub‑series in the inspection system.
• Inspect exterior for tires, frame, paint and damage, and document findings.
• Inspect interior for seats, dashboard and options; document condition.
• Complete data entry supporting vehicle condition documentation.
• Perform post‑sale inspections and walk‑around inspections for OVE.
