Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a vehicle inspector to verify information during intake, document findings, and support end-of-day system procedures. The role requires attention to detail and adherence to safety policies.

Responsibilities include writing electronic condition reports, conducting courtesy walks, and maintaining knowledge of applicable software and processes. Overtime may be required as business needs dictate.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Less than 2 years of related experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Verify vehicle information based on work orders and identify damage or issues.
• Prepare and complete all necessary documentation.
• Set up system for day-end and perform day-end procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures.
• Write electronic condition reports (ECR).
• Conduct OVE courtesy walks around inspections.
• Maintain knowledge of system capabilities and relevant software.
• Keep up-to-date with body mechanics, frame labor, and inspection techniques.
• Model safety behaviors and participate in safety activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• May work overtime as business needs dictate.
