Job summary

Cox Automotive Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented inspector to verify vehicle conditions on arrival, document findings, and complete end-of-day procedures. You will conduct thorough inspections, write ECRs, and participate in safety initiatives while maintaining up-to-date system knowledge.

The role requires strong communication, basic computer skills, and a valid driver’s license. Overtime may be required based on business needs and workload.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma/GED.
• Generally, less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
• Safe driver’s license is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Verify vehicle information based on work orders and identify damages, missing parts, and mechanical problems by inspecting vehicles.
• Prepare and complete all necessary documentation.
• Set up system for day-end and perform day-end procedures.
• Maintain knowledge to ensure policies and procedures are followed.
• Write electronic condition reports (ECR).
• Conduct OVE courtesy walks around inspections.
• Maintain knowledge of system capabilities and relevant software/web applications.
• Demonstrate safety commitment and participate in Safety Excellence activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• May work overtime as needed.
