Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Automotive General Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the automotive industry, strong technical skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our customers. You will be responsible for performing a variety of general maintenance and repair tasks to ensure that vehicles operate safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on a wide range of vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
2. Diagnose and troubleshoot basic automotive issues using specialized equipment and tools.
3. Assist in the repair and replacement of brakes, belts, batteries, and other essential vehicle components.
4. Perform minor auto body work, including patching minor dents and scratches.
5. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
6. Communicate effectively with customers, providing information about services performed and recommendations for additional maintenance or repairs.
7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements in automotive technology, and relevant safety standards.
8. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an automotive technical program.
• Previous experience as an automotive technician or mechanic is a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostic equipment, and repair tools.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• ASE certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move heavy objects, including tires and automotive components.
• Standing for extended periods, kneeling, bending, and working in confined spaces may be required.
