Position Overview:

The Professional Services Technician is responsible for providing service and support for Avidity Science products, both preventatively and on an emergency basis, in accordance with company standards and customer requirements. The role involves installation and maintenance of products/systems, with opportunities to specialize in either service or installation, or participate in both areas.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Install systems according to customer drawings.
• Interpret technical drawings and instructions.
• Update and submit as-built drawings post-installation.
• Supervise contractors during installation to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Provide initial training to customers.
• Report daily job status to project managers.
• Perform preventative maintenance and warranty services.
• Provide emergency support as needed.
• Review installations and initiate system commissioning.
• Prepare reports and complete product certifications.
• Maintain accurate inventory of van stock.
• Follow company procedures and perform other duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and industry tools.
• Strong understanding of customer needs and technical knowledge.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changes.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Customer interface skills.
• Problem-solving and mechanical aptitude.
• Basic water chemistry, plumbing, electrical, and networking skills.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree or equivalent trade experience, with at least three years in servicing electrical or electro-mechanical systems at customer facilities.
