Job summary

Engineering Systems Inc. (ESi) is seeking interns to support field investigations and laboratory work in our transportation-focused team in Michigan. You will assist with site inspections, data collection, and report preparation while learning from experienced consultants.

The role involves collaboration across disciplines, requires a valid driver's license, and may require travel to project sites. Preference for students maintaining a part-time course load while completing the internship.

Qualifications

• Majoring in engineering disciplines; 3.30 GPA or higher preferred.
• No prior professional experience required; internship/research experience a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist field investigations and site inspections under supervision.
• Perform engineering research, data collection, and analysis for projects.
• Support preparation of technical reports and documents.
• Participate in laboratory testing and analysis activities.
• Help organize and analyze evidence and technical data for reviews.
• Attend client meetings and internal technical reviews as appropriate.
• Perform other duties to support multidisciplinary consulting team.
• Internships are full-time, 40 hours/week, Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm; college load limited to 2 classes.
