Job summary

Engineering Systems Inc. (ESi) invites qualified students to join as interns in a dynamic forensic engineering setting in Michigan. You will contribute to field investigations, data collection, and technical reporting while supporting a multidisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates are pursuing Mechanical, Biomedical, Bioengineering, Materials Science, or Civil/Structural Engineering with a strong GPA, and are prepared to work full-time during the semester with limited class load.

Qualifications

• Majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, Materials Science, Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 3.30 GPA or higher, preferred.
• No prior professional experience required; internship experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with field investigations and site inspections under supervision.
• Perform engineering research, data collection, and analysis to support projects.
• Prepare technical reports and documents.
• Participate in laboratory testing and analysis activities.
• Support consultants in organizing and analyzing evidence and data.
• Attend client meetings and internal reviews.
• Perform other duties to support the multidisciplinary team.
• Internships are full-time, 40 hours/week, Mon–Fri (8am–5pm).
• If enrolled in college, take no more than 2 classes, and work a minimum of 32 hours/week.
