Job summary

Engineering Systems Inc. (ESi) invites applications for the Intern - Automotive (Summer 2027) position in Ann Arbor, MI. This internship offers hands-on experience in transportation-related investigations, data collection, and report support within a multidisciplinary consulting team.

The role is structured for summer, 32–40 hours weekly, with learning opportunities and collaboration across engineering disciplines. Strong communication and basic Office skills are favored.

Qualifications

• 3.30 GPA or higher, preferred.
• No prior professional experience required; lab/research or internship experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated interest in forensic engineering, failure analysis, or litigation support.

Responsibilities

• Assists with field investigations and site inspections under supervision.
• Performs research, data collection, and analysis to support projects.
• Assists in preparation of technical reports and documents.
• Supports laboratories testing and analysis activities; organizes evidence.
• Attend client meetings and internal technical reviews as appropriate.
• Internships are full-time, 40 hours/week, Mon–Fri (8am–5pm).
• If enrolled in college, take no more than 2 classes and work at least 32 hours/week.
