Job Title: Automotive Embedded Systems Engineer

Location: Southfield, MI - Onsite

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Embedded Systems Engineer with expertise in vehicle communication protocols, diagnostics, and scripting/programming languages. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in developing, integrating, and testing automotive communication and diagnostic systems according to industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and validate automotive communication systems using CAN/CAN FD, LIN, and Ethernet protocols.
• Work with exchange formats such as ARXML, DBC, and LDF for ECU integration.
• Specify and implement Automotive Diagnostics protocols based on UDS standard (DoIP, DoCAN).
• Develop, script, and debug solutions using Java, Python, CAPL, and/or C/C++.
• Utilize Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, and related tools to measure, analyze, and validate vehicle network communications and diagnostics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, test, systems engineering) to deliver robust, compliant solutions.
• Interpret and work with AUTOSAR-based system descriptions and diagnostic databases.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years experience with Automotive Communication Buses: CAN/CAN FD, LIN, Ethernet, and related exchange formats (ARXML, DBC, LDF).
• Minimum 5 years experience implementing diagnostics based on UDS (ISO 14229) via DoIP and DoCAN.
• Minimum 5 years experience with programming or scripting in Java, Python, CAPL, or C/C++.
• Proficient in using Vector CANoe or similar tools for diagnostics, testing, and communication analysis.
• Familiarity with AUTOSAR architecture and ECU integration workflows is a plus.
