Due to our continued growth, we are hiring for a Network and Systems EngineeratM3 USA.

Job Description

The Network and Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, implement, monitor, and manage our local and wide area networks to ensure optimal performance and reliability. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of network infrastructure and hardware, and be capable of managing all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, hubs, and UPSs for M3USA employees and their subsidiaries. The engineer will possess and maintain expertise in these platforms utilizing that knowledge to inspire and inform customers, coworkers, and strategic partners on innovative solutions to address business requirements. This is an exempt level position requiring the ability to work varied hours and locations to accommodate operational needs and requires the use of independent judgment and discretion in decision making consistent with M3 directives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Including, but not limited to the following:

  • System Maintenance and Upgrades: Install and configure software and hardware. Perform regular system updates and upgrades to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Network Administration: Manage network servers and technology tools. Set up accounts and workstations, ensuring network security through appropriate configurations and monitoring.
  • Network Management: Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability. Conduct regular network performance tests and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, and security configurations.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and other network and system problems. Follow Severity 1/outage procedures and participate in after-hours upgrades and on-call availability.
  • Security Management: Implement and manage security measures to protect data, software, and hardware. Monitor security certificates and company compliance with requirements.
  • Backup and Recovery: Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures. Ensure regular backups of all systems and data, and test recovery processes to guarantee data integrity.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all systems and network configurations, changes, and updates.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance and ensure the reliability and availability of IT resources. Optimize system performance by analyzing and resolving performance issues.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members to plan and implement IT projects. Collaborate with various departments to understand their IT needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Project Management: Participate in IT projects, providing input on system requirements and design. Manage and execute assigned projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
  • VoIP and Telephony Management: Manage VoIP and telephony systems, including the administration of contracts and vendor relationships. Ensure the reliability and performance of telephony services and troubleshoot any related issues.
  • Video Conferencing Solutions: Administer and support video conferencing solutions, ensuring seamless operation and integration with other communication tools. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to video conferencing systems.
  • Load Balancer Management: Manage and maintain load balancers to ensure optimal distribution of network traffic. Monitor and troubleshoot load balancer performance to ensure high availability and reliability of services.
  • Cloud: Assist with development, engineering and maintenance of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
  • Travel: Regular travel to M3USA sites as needed (Travel 20-30%).

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 – 6 years of experience supporting, managing, and administering complex enterprise LAN and WAN networks and computer systems including VOIP, VPN, and Windows and Linux servers.
  • CCNA/CCIE/CCNP/Network+ certification desired.
  • Linux experience preferred.
  • Powershell administration knowledge desired.
  • Scripting knowledge desired.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory and/or Azure AD desired.
  • Experience with OpenStack and/or AWS/Azure cloud computing/IaaS platforms a major plus.
  • Strong knowledge of networking.
  • Experience with security framework audits preferred.
  • Awareness of Power Platforms.
