Job Description

This role involves designing, developing, and communicating technology models and foundations for applications, data, and infrastructure supporting business processes. The engineer applies principles such as stability, scalability, performance, security, and re-use to ensure a balanced approach to technology solutions. The role requires considering end-to-end business problems, including people, process, and technology, and promoting industry standards. Monitoring emerging technologies for potential application within the organization is also key. Adherence to development standards, methodology, and governance is essential.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Develop software through hands-on coding to meet business objectives.
• Understand and apply software and application development methodologies adhering to standards.
• Design and develop software applications or systems solving specific business or processing problems (Web or Mobile).
• Gather business requirements and develop conceptual and technical designs for multiple projects.
• Review system capabilities, workflows, and limitations to determine feasibility within existing systems.
• Conduct peer reviews to ensure standards and quality.
• Provide guidance, perform code reviews, and ensure quality deliveries. Participate in build vs. buy evaluations.
• Provide architecture and design overviews in line with development standards.

Job Qualifications

Required Education

Bachelor's Degree in relevant field

Required Experience

3-5 years of application development experience

Preferred Education

Master's Degree in Computer Science or Business Field

Preferred Experience

5-7 years, Healthcare Industry
