Eaton’s Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Software Engineer. Full remote work option will be considered for well-qualified candidates currently residing anywhere in the USA. Preferred locations: Beachwood, Ohio; Southfield, MI; or Menomonee Falls, WI.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $108,749.97 - $159,499.96. Please note that this salary is a general guideline and is based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations.

Job Description

As a Software Engineer, your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining manufacturing applications, as well as integrating AI/ML solutions. You will implement robust data transformation workflows for high performance and scalability, collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, and deliver data-driven solutions. Additionally, you will help set best practices for data integration, security, and governance in Palantir-based manufacturing applications.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain manufacturing applications and integration solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using various programming languages and frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide data-driven solutions.
• Monitor and optimize software performance to meet user expectations.
• Establish best practices for data management, security, and governance in Palantir environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Palantir data platforms and systems.
• Support and maintain the full lifecycle of Palantir's data tools and services.
• Ensure compliance with data protection protocols.
• Stay updated on AI, machine learning, and deep learning advancements and evaluate their applications.
• Develop testing and validation strategies for Generative AI models in production.
• Anticipate business needs and guide development priorities for non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

Basic Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in AI, data science, machine learning engineering, or data analytics.
• Minimum of 3 years implementing, testing, and deploying AI and machine learning solutions.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Ability to work independently and understand all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Good team player, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python, Java, SQL, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar.
• Familiarity with Generative AI models and their strengths and weaknesses.
• Understanding of Data Integration technologies.
• Knowledge of API-First architecture.
• Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
• Ability to adapt to changing business needs and handle ambiguity.
• Strong communication skills to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with manufacturing applications is an advantage.
