Cox Automotive in the United States is seeking a Detail Technician II to join our Vehicle Operations team. The role focuses on interior and exterior vehicle detailing, safety, and contributing to a fast-paced auction environment.

You will perform duties from cleaning to buffing, with a day shift schedule. This is an onsite, hourly position with pay between $16.59 and $24.86 per hour, and a pre-employment drug test is required. Benefits include paid time off and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field.
• Or 5 years' experience in a related field or alternative degree/certification beyond HS.
• Safe drivers with valid license required.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
• Must be able to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.
• Frequent stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb.
• Medium strength: ability to lift 1–30 pounds.
• Manual dexterity and repetitive motion tasks.
• Vision abilities including close, distance and color vision, depth perception and focus.

Responsabilités

• Clean interior and trunk of vehicles, removing debris from ashtrays and surfaces.
• Remove license plates and stickers; clean windows as needed.
• Wash vehicles and clean engine and battery terminals.
• Detail exterior and interiors; dress trim and surfaces.
• Buff and polish exterior surfaces; apply compounds as needed.
• Vacuum and shampoo upholstery and carpets; tidy seats.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in safety programs.
• Assist with driving vehicles to staging areas and on sale days.
