Cox Automotive is hiring for a vehicle detailing position where pay is task-based, ranging from $13.70 to $20.53 per task depending on location. The role involves thorough interior and exterior cleaning, buffing, and basic vehicle maintenance tasks, with opportunities for additional compensation through commissions or incentives.

Responsibilities include removing debris, washing, buffing, and detailing various vehicle components, while adhering to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Generally, <2 years in a related field.
• Detail shop or buffing experience helpful.
• Safe driving required; valid license.
• Ability to drive manual and automatic transmissions.
• Stand, walk, reach, talk and hear regularly.
• Stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending and climbing may be needed.
• Lift 1–30 pounds; use light hand tools.
• Manual dexterity and repetitive motion tolerance.
• Vision: distance, color, depth perception, focus.

Responsibilities

• Clean vehicle interiors, remove debris and trash from cabins and trunks.
• Remove plates, stickers, and window writing; disassemble spare tire.
• Wash vehicles; clean engine area and battery terminals.
• Detail interiors and exteriors; clean and dress trim and panels.
• Buff and wax exterior surfaces; polish painted areas.
• Vacuum and shampoo carpets; straighten seatbelts.
• Ensure warranty booklet and manuals are returned.
• Follow safety procedures; participate in Safety Excellence.
• Assist in moving vehicles and occasional sale-day driving.
